i dont understand, so will he start fighting in upcoming seasons ? i love the story telling but the action is what got most of us hooked id say

Waffles_Of_Doom • 4 months ago

Exactly. There cannot be a world without violence because at the end of the day it controls everything. You don't see everyone doing crazy stuff on the street because they know the cops' "violence" would punish them heavily for it and they will lose. I've been keeping up with reading manga ahead and there will be some fighting, a pretty good one with the jomsvikings again, but apart from that it's just the author talking out of his ass with philosophies that dance around the harsh reality of the world. But there's no point in indulging yourself on seeing the author sucking his own D with life lessons he came up with; just enjoy the animation and stick to what works so you can realize why something is because it is

why is the king tryna take Kettle's lands, what did kettle do to him?

- Canute spent all his wealth expanding and maintaining a huge army in England to crush any insurrection against his authority as king of england. He also taxed english folks to maximum possible but still is not sufficient to maintain his invading forces

- He them killed/poisoned his older king Harald of Denmark in order to access the Throne and wealth of Denmark to hopefully sustain his english realm and acquire more millitary to expand in Brittania. But after acquiring the danish throne he discovered that the king was basically a figure head uniting several independent danish tribes ... the crown only recieved levies from the various tribes and tributes from wealthy landlords and merchants seeking royal protection: These tributes were still not enough to finance the war efforts in Brittania.

- Some retainers recommended him to invest in farming or such in order to acquire more funds, but Canute refused as it would take several years or decades in order to profit from newly established farmlands: Denmark is mainly made up of forests, long winters and the inexperience of most Norsemen to farming ...by the time the farms will be up and running his english realm would have already crumbled because his huge standing army would have desserted bc of lack of funds

- Kettle was the perfect solution/scapegoat bc: 1) large farmland with quality products due to the cheer size, quantity and quality of the good in his yearly trubutes. 2) Kettle didn't have a notable war force who could resist against the King 3) His son was dumb enough to manipulate in order to accusse Kettle of treason and seize his assets without any other tribes allying or disapproving the Kings plan.

Kettle in fact did nothing wrong but became a perfect tarket due to his wealth and his carelessness to mostly rely on the crown for his protection. As most people of his wealth and status will affiliate to a local warlord as vassal for protection or atleast have an own army to form a tribe
